MINOR OPERATIVE PROCEDURES & CRYOTHERAPY
We excise moles, skin tags, superficial cysts and ingrown toenails. Cryotherapy, freezing, can mange most warts and certain benign superficial skin cancers. Please consult your doctor for advice on the most appropriate management and any costs involved.
SKIN CANCER CHECKS
Skin cancer ranges from benign to life threatening. If you are concerned about any new spots on your skin, or have a history of sun burns, please book in for a check up and excision if necessary.
MENTAL HEALTH CARE
Opening up to a professional about your mental illness or mental health struggles can be daunting, but almost one in five Australians will experience a mental illness in any given year, and almost half of all Australians will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.
If you are suffering, there’s no need to suffer in silence. Make a confidential appointment today either online or over the phone to see one of our caring doctors, who are ready to listen and help.
YELLOW FEVER ACCREDITED VACCINATION CENTRE
People travelling to Africa, the Caribbean and Central or South America are at risk of contracting the yellow fever virus. As there is no known cure for yellow fever, and if left untreated the virus can lead to death, it’s important to understand the risks and precautions available to protect yourself from infection.
IRON INFUSION
Iron is a vital element for healthy blood reproduction, brain and muscle function, and the circulation of oxygen. If your body is not getting enough iron because of diet or another factor, it can cause iron deficiency and a host of related health problems. In some circumstances, if the deficiency is severe, it can be improved quickly and easily with an IV infusion of iron. Arrange a consultation with Dr Tony Girgis to assess the situation and discuss your options.
ACUTE ILLNESS
If your illness has you unfit for work or study, we’ll provide you with a medical certificate, and we’ll monitor your illness as you get better to ensure your body is mending itself properly. We also offer practical advice on easy preventative health measures that you can work into your daily routine to reduce your chance of catching a common sickness.
CHRONIC ILLNESS
A chronic health issue is a condition that may last for a year or longer and which has a significant impact upon your standard of life, such as diabetes, respiratory problems, cancer or neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.
Our goal is to provide you with the long-term support that you need to manage and treat your chronic health problems. Our team has expertise in specialised areas including aged care, complex disease, musculoskeletal medicine and preventative medicine, offering a rounded skill set to address chronic health problems.
AGED CARE
Our aged care services help older people stay as independent and active as possible. From ongoing support for existing health problems to practical, functional advice on diet and exercise, our focus for aged care is to help people live their best lives at any age.
ANTENATAL SHARED CARE
Antenatal Shared Care is a program that shares the care for pregnant people between their GP, midwife and a hospital obstetrics expert, allowing each professional to contribute their skills collaboratively and co-operatively, with the convenience and comfort of a GP practice setting.
We are also happy to refer to private obstetricians if preferred.
